I am so thankful to a friend of mine for introducing me to Dave@Calm Driving. What sets Dave apart is not only his immense knowledge and wealth of experience but his ability to be so unassuming and genuinely caring/desiring the best for you. He has made me feel so welcome and at ease so quickly even though I am only at an early stage of my training. This family run business which makes all who sign up feel like an extended family is so rare in this day and age. I have been able to really sense my development and I find the way the all inclusive course is set up very thorough, stimulating and rewarding. Dave and his wife are an amazing team and deserve every plaudit that is written in all the testimonials. I approached my trainer to see if he could help me with my pt3 training due to failing 1st with a different trainer. The team came highly recommended to me from the test centre examiners. On our 1st meeting he asked what I wanted from the training and I explained I wanted a full breakdown of each part and he done exactly what I asked for. My trainer is such a patient trainer and helps in every way possible. If I was struggling on any part then we would fix it. I highly recommend the team and if and when I get a standards check I'll sure be going back for help that I may need. After the training I received I passed 2nd time. My trainer also supported me at the test centre before I went out and when I returned which really helped with nerves.

From start to finish, I felt supported every step of the way, which made such a difference to my confidence and learning. Dave created a relaxed, welcoming training environment where I never felt rushed or under pressure. He was patient, encouraging, and always happy to explain things clearly, no matter how many questions I had. It really felt like he cared about my progress and wanted me to succeed. I'm thoroughly enjoying this journey to becoming a driving instructor. It's a longer process than I anticipated and it's certainly not easy but what I will say is it's incredibly rewarding. The team go above and beyond to ensure their trainees are happy and making progress. Their knowledge and experience is so in-depth that I'm yet to ask a question they're unable to answer. Their approach is calm, they're clear and precise and they're able to adjust their own teaching style to suit anyone. The online learning syllabus is easy to follow. It challenges in a good way and really helps develop our knowledge and teaching skills, while the in car training sessions are fun and really get us thinking like driving instructors. Thanks to my trainer I sailed through my parts 1 and 2. I'm currently teaching on my trainee licence and learning every day. Someone is always there for advice and help. Nothing is too much trouble. In fact the whole team are great, from my trainer who is a brilliant instructor to Debbie who keeps things running for all the instructors and who never complains when I drop by for a quick chat, and also to the entire Calm Driving team of instructors who are all happy to help any aspiring ADI. Choosing Train to Become a Driving Instructor was absolutely the right choice. A fantastic support network coupled which first class training.

When I first started this training, I had no idea what to expect. But from the first minute of my taster session I felt at ease and excited to learn. My trainer made training throughout all 3 parts amazing, it was detailed and I understood everything that was required of me. The support was always there, nothing was ever too much trouble. The 1 to 1 training was perfect and I felt that I learnt so much from the sessions. I always felt relaxed and looked forward to our sessions. Having my trainer present for my part 2 and 3 tests was a real help, to know someone was there for you and that they cared was brilliant. I don't think I could have done it without their continued encouragement and unwavering support. Now I am a fully qualified ADI, I can't think of any job I would rather do, and I owe it to the team. I get up each morning, excited for the day ahead. Would I recommend training with them? Absolutely, 100%. Their course and training style is fantastic, they are always there if you need them, that never changes. I personally cannot thank the team enough and I will be staying with the amazing Calm family. I can honestly say the training that my trainer has provided has been invaluable! From the very beginning they made me feel comfortable and their coaching methods are the best I have experienced. Their attention to detail and their explanations of every aspect of learning how to become a driving instructor is extremely professional. You can tell by the way they coach that they have many years of experience in this area and a true passion for wanting you to succeed. You can tell that the training package has been extremely well put together and the team are constantly striving to add more and more content to help their pupils succeed. Started back in January 2019 , with Dave, I was training with a another driving school but was unsuccessful.Thats were Dave stepped in life transforming experience, coaching skills , calmness of approach, experience in knowledge of instructor training, is beyond .I have seen over the years the quality of instructor training he delivers, many instructors many on the the road today teaching at a incredible high standard . My trainer is a fantastic driving instructor, calm, well organised, and genuinely supportive. Every lesson was enjoyable and well structured, made learning to drive a great experience. The training I received was absolutely brilliant! The team are a fountain of knowledge when it comes to driving instruction. When out training for my part 2 my trainer was very patient and calm and made me feel relaxed. I found the training team to be very approachable, professional and extremely knowledgeable. They went out of their way to make sure I was sufficiently supported with my training and that they were available when I needed them. I got a sense that we were on the journey together. Training with the training team was brilliant. They're very knowledgeable and will build a package for your needs. I began my PDI journey with a large national company that was not meeting my expectations or needs. The team allowed me to just train for my part 3 and offered flexible training hours around my current job. There is no obligation or contract to join the franchise however, they do offer a flexible package for this if you wish to. They also organise get togethers regularly for their PDIs and ADIs which is great to build a support network as this journey and job can sometimes be a lonely one. We still keep in touch today and I know I could always call on the training team for help or advise even after qualifying :)

In May of this year after failing my Part 3 test feeling depressed, and frustrated with the industry with the level of training I had received from my then Ordit trainer I was ready to throw the towel in! Purely by chance I was recommended by two different driving instructors to contact the training team at Calm Driving School for help. After much deliberation and encouragement from my driving school I got in touch feeling less than motivated at that point. After the first meeting/chat I was more than encouraged to continue on the journey to become an instructor. Their positive attitude and calm demeanour changed my outlook, it became very apparent to me that I had much to learn to become a "A" grade instructor. So the journey has begun, 6 or so lessons in I feel more able to succeed, the training team are teaching me so much in a calm, friendly and positive way allowing me to practice new skills obtained, to use during my own lessons, I'm not there yet but making progress, and feel encouraged to see this journey through with my much and long awaited test booked in Nov 24. I am in no doubt I will pass when the time comes, and will always be in their debt, for their hard work and positive ways to ensure my end goal. I feel I found a friend in life who I can always turn to for help and advice. I would not hesitate to advise anyone who is in my situation or needs a Part 3 instructor to contact the training team rather than go anywhere else. The training team were recommended to me by another instructor that they trained. They were very accommodating and worked around my job at the time often doing 3 hour sessions late in the evening. Without their help there would have been no chance in myself passing my part 2 & 3 first time. I've now been enjoying life as an ADI for two and half years and it was the best decision I ever made for my family. Thanks.

What a fantastic experience learning with Calm Driving via the training team!! Upon hearing my particular situation, they came up with a lovely tangible plan, that incorporated all my training needs! The plans' structure was perfect and it allowed me to fully isolate and work towards hitting the relevant competencies, whilst providing a great value for money lesson! The mock tests at the end really consolidated all the hard work that we've put in and at the end of the plan I've felt much stronger and in a much better position to pass my pt.3!
